Transfers to Crystal Blue Resort

Transfer from Manila to Crystal Blue Resort is easily arranged. The land transfer from Manila to the resort will take about 2-1/2 hours. Pickup can be from either of the two Manila airports (International or Domestic).

Weather Patterns and General Insight of the dive season at Crystal Blue

Overall diving can be great year round in the Philippines but its important to key in on the location.

Water temps in Anilao can be amongst the coolest in the country, depending on the season

The Philippines has 2 basic seasons, Dry season and Wet season. Each year the islands see about 20 tropical depressions, some turn into Storms and a few become Typhoons.
The wet season ( Mid-June through Mid- September) carries the most energy and creates havoc for many communities throughout the 7105 Islands as recently seen. There is generally good diving at the resort during this time frame as Batangas is slightly protected, however with unstable weather patterns its best to carry insurance. The early season rains will effect the visibility the most but the outer reefs are still stunning with great viz

* Topside temps-85-95/ 28-35c

* Threat of storms- med to high

* Critters-yes still very active

* Crowds-med pressure on the dive sites
* Not all dive sites are open due to waves and surge
 
The Dry season (October-May/June) is regarded as the best dive season
October-December beginning of a cooling trend

* Topside temps-85-75f/ 30-21c

* Threat of storms- med 
* Loss of diving-med to low
* Viz-fair to exceptional
* Critters-yes still very active
* 3 mm wetsuits plus hooded vest, wind breaker, sunblock
* Crowds-med-high pressure on the dive sites

Cool Dry Season (January-march)
* Water temps-80-76f/26-24c
* Topside temps-80-75f/29-23c
* Tropical depressions-yes
* Threat of storms-low 
* Loss of diving-  low
* Viz- good to exceptional
* Critters-  very active
* 3 mm-5mm wetsuits plus hooded vest, wind breaker, sunblock
* Crowds- lowest  pressure on the dive sites
Recommended length of stay based on historical values is 10 days +

 Hot-Dry Season (Mid March-May)
* Water temps- 82-85f/27-29c
* Topside temps-85-95f/29-35c
* Tropical depressions-yes
* Threat of storms-low 
* Loss of diving-  low
* Viz- good to exceptional
* Critters-  active
* 3 mm-5mm wetsuits plus hooded vest, wind breaker, sunblock
* Crowds- highest pressure on the dive sites

Recommended stay based on historical values is 10 days +
